It has very large green leaves, it is about 4 ft. tall right now, and the stalk is VERY thick, about 3 inches around and is a reddish, purple color. Anyone know where is can find out what this plant is or may be, or do you know what it might be? Any websites? Please help, I think it might be some type of fruit bearing tree, as we have been throwing our fruit seeds out in the backyard for years.Thanks.

Reply:Take a picture of the plant and take the picture and a leaf from the plant to a Nursery or Garden Center. They will be able to tell you what the plant is. It sounds to me like the plant is a Castor Plant , Castor Oil Comes from .
