What is the best plant to put on my desk?

I'm looking for a plant to put on my desk. Maybe a foot tall, 6 or 8 inches round, %26amp; won't require much more care other than watering. I have a corner office with windows, but there's no direct sunlight on my desk.

I'm a manager, so, it should be some sort of plain plant, ie, no flowers, but interesting.

Any ideas?

What is the best plant to put on my desk?
a bella palm...it is attractive. it grows slow, requires only little light and care.
Reply:Begonia's are nice, don't need direct light.
Reply:how about one of those fly eating plants.???
Reply:How about a plate of moss growing on gravel?

Try a small Heuchera, coral bells. I have one that is wildly varigated, like 4 colors. Coleus is like that too. But doesn't sound right.
Reply:bamboo
Reply:I think pothos or philodendron or ivy are really easy. You can have them wired to grow up instead of hanging down. A bromeliad might work. African violets. A terrarium would be interesting.
Reply:The Traditional Japanese Bonzai is a winner. Its also a statement about your management style.
Reply:Perhaps a "Money Tree Plant"

Snake plant, Mother-in-law's tongue(Super EASY)

Pothos,Golden Pothos(Easy)

Philodendrons(Easy)

Cactus(Super Easy)

Bonsai( Some what Easy,Reseach for the right one)

Hard part is watering and drafts from over head vents.

There is some easy simple solutions to watering.
Reply:aloe plant, interesting with minimal effort.
Reply:a peace lily (spathiphyllum) is a very tough plant suitable for indoors. It does have white flowers from time to time but they're not delicate, fragile looking ones %26amp; they look good against the plant's dark glossy leaves. If you forget to water it %26amp; it starts to look limp, a quick water %26amp; it will bounce back within the hour.
Reply:a bonsai always looks nice
Reply:Lucky Bamboo or Money Plant

You can buy them in all shapes and sizes. They live in water and grow very slowly. I've had one for over 6 years.

Reply:I have a peace lilly. It is around the size that you want. It is pretty tough to kill too, if you are a terrible plant owner like i am. I forget to water it all the time. I only remember when it has wilted and shrivelled. As soon as i water it, it pops right back up again like nothing happened. Have a look at the link i have below. They are a really pretty plant and a lot nicer to look at than a cactus.
Reply:Ivy is great and is a great air purifier, You can choose from varigated or plain green, large or small. Excellent, Easy care Plant.
