What is the rate a plant grows a day?

like ft, inches, ect...... and how do plants grow????

What is the rate a plant grows a day?
There is no right answer. Some plants grow faster than others, for an example poison ivy grows like wildfire, so does mint. On the other hand a cactus grows so slow that you'd have plenty of time to find a cactus needle in a haystack. Having said that, grass will grow faster with a mix of sunshine and rain than it would during a dry spell, so there's no constant factor to determine how much anything grows. That even applies to people, some people grow up faster than others and some people never grow up. My motto is Let It Grow!
Reply:Plants grow at different rates depending upon a variety of factors: soil, light, temperature, moisture, available nutrients, and the kind of plant itself. There is no one specific rate of growth. A mushroom can spring up overnight, while a cacti is a very slow growing plant. The way they grow is different too. Some from rhizomes, some from spores, some from seeds. Some like it hot and dry, some damp, some sunny, some shady. Plants prefer environments specific to their individual natures.
Reply:depends on the conditions....good soil, good fertilizer, plenty of water and sun and it should grow rapidly
